Key Responsibilities:

User research & discovery

  • Conduct user interviews, contextual inquiries, and usability testing sessions

  • Develop personas, user journey maps, and experience blueprints

  • Synthesize research findings into actionable design insights for stakeholders

Wireframing & interaction design

  • Produce low-fidelity wireframes and high-fidelity screen designs for web and mobile

  • Define interaction patterns, micro-interactions, and navigation flows

  • Validate designs through iterative testing and rapid prototyping cycles

Visual design

  • Apply and evolve brand standards across all interface surfaces

  • Define typography, color systems, spacing, and iconography consistent with design tokens

  • Ensure all designs meet WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility requirements

Design systems & documentation

  • Build and maintain reusable component libraries in Figma or equivalent tooling

  • Author annotated design specifications and redlined for engineering handoff

  • Contribute to and enforce a shared design system across product squads

Stakeholder engagement & delivery

  • Present design rationale and iterations to client and internal stakeholders

  • Collaborate daily with product managers and engineers within Agile sprint cycles

  • Manage design feedback loops and resolve conflicts between aesthetic and technical constraints

NOTE: Role requires 60% onsite client work in San Francisco Bay Area, Mountain View, CA.
