Full Job Description
THE WORK:
- Youll act as the Owners representative in all aspects of project delivery.
- Youll provide executivelevel oversight of construction activities, staff, and consultants.
- Youll serve as a primary advisor to Client executive leadership, supporting strategic decisions and issue resolution.
- Youll lead and direct Resident Engineers, inspectors, project controls personnel, and support staff.
- Youll maintain full accountability for projectwide safety performance.
- Youll ensure protection of Client employees, State personnel, contractor staff, and the traveling public at all times.
- Youll drive a proactive safety culture targeting zero losttime incidents.
- Youll oversee contractor safety programs, audits, and incidentresponse protocols.
- Youll lead all aspects of construction execution from mobilization through closeout.
- Youll ensure alignment with project scope, contractual requirements, and Client objectives.
- Youll monitor and manage schedule and budget performance, reporting directly to executive leadership.
- Youll identify and mitigate project risks, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Youll oversee coordination across engineering, construction, and operational interfaces.
- Youll provide seniorlevel oversight of contract administration, claims, and change management.
- Youll lead negotiation and resolution of complex change orders and contractor claims.
- Youll ensure strict conformance with all Client contract documents, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Youll advise Client leadership on contractual risks and commercial strategies.
- Youll oversee and integrate all project functions, including engineering/design coordination, construction management, QA/QC, materials testing, environmental compliance (CEQA/NEPA), thirdparty coordination, and community outreach.
- Youll lead constructability reviews and provide strategic input on design packages.
- Youll provide executive oversight of CPM scheduling, phasing, and sequencing strategies.
- Youll validate cost controls, forecasts, and contingency management.
- Youll direct recovery planning and scheduleacceleration strategies when required.
- Youll represent the Client in public forums, community meetings, and interagency coordination.
- Youll maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and key stakeholders.
- Youll coordinate with transit operations to minimize disruptions to service.
- Onsite at client site: The work location for this role is onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships.
