Full Job Description
Wells Fargo is seeking a Technology Operations Manager to join the Technology Engagement and Coordination (TEC) organization. This manager is responsible for sustaining and scaling delivery across Technology Operations as scope, volume, and complexity continue to grow. The Technology Operations Manager provides secondline leadership across multiple teams and workstreams, with direct accountability for execution, prioritization, delivery outcomes, and operational risk management. This role strengthens operational oversight, accelerates decisionmaking, and ensures consistent delivery, governance, and stakeholder engagement across enterprise initiatives.
The End User Engagement and Coordination Team coordinates enterprise enduser technology across multiple desktop environments, supporting new building openings, remodels, and decommissioning efforts. The team coordinates hardware and software fulfillment, device refreshes, specialized support enablement, new hire events, and specialized end user project needs. It ensures operational readiness by partnering with service desk and field support teams, training technicians, and delivering clear support documentation and knowledge articles. Through automation, reporting, and structured communications, the team drives efficient deployments, change management, and continuous improvement of the enduser experience.
In this role, you will
- Provide secondline leadership across multiple Technology Operations teams and workstreams.
- Manage and develop leaders and individual contributors, supporting execution across enduser technology delivery, operational readiness, asset lifecycle management, and enterprise initiatives.
- Translate enterprise initiatives into clear execution plans, timelines, staffing models, and measurable success metrics.
- Lead and govern largescale, timebound deployments and events, including user scheduling, communications, capacity planning, onsite staffing, logistics, and risk mitigation.
- Align work across teams, resolve crossteam dependencies, and ensure consistent delivery standards, service quality, and risk posture.
- Serve as the escalation point for complex issues involving people, processes, tooling, vendors, or technology constraints.
- Enforce consistent delivery discipline, including intake validation, scope definition, dependency tracking, weekly status reporting, and executiveready updates.
- Manage operational outcomes for key technology services primarily enduser services.
- Leverage enterprise tools to digitize workflows and measure service performance, including SLAs, OLAs, incident trends, and recovery metrics.
- Ensure backup, recovery, and business continuity processes are effective and regularly tested.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Network, Security, Risk, and Compliance teams to unblock delivery and drive outcomes.
- Manage resource capacity, demand, and costs, including the use of external resources when appropriate.
- Institute sustainable operational controls in partnership with Operational Risk, Compliance, and Audit.
- Mentor and develop talent, support succession planning, and assist with hiring and workforce planning.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of Technology Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, or education.
- 2+ years of leadership experience.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience managing multiple teams and leaders, including setting expectations, coaching performance, and developing leadership capability.
- Proven experience delivering technology operationsled initiatives or projects.
- Handson experience with enterprise operational tooling (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, reporting platforms).
- Demonstrated ability to manage capacity, throughput, and staffing aligned to operational constraints.
- Experience driving process standardization across multiple teams while supporting varied delivery models.
- Strong executive communication skills, including the ability to present risks, tradeoffs, options, and datadriven recommendations
- Advanced knowledge of digital product structure and delivery of digital product lifecycles
Job Expectations:
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
- Ability to work a hybrid work schedule 3 days a week on-site/in office and 2 days a week remote.
