Full Job Description
Main Purpose
As a Cargo Operator in Trafigura you will be responsible for the end-to-end execution of physical shipments (bulk, containers, trucks and rail), identifying the safest and most cost-effective way to transport commodities from point of origin to point of destination. In this role, you will be involved in a broad range of activities that include but are not limited to logistics, contract execution, risk management & PnL controlling, maintain relationships with Client/Contractors and internal stakeholders.

Required Qualifications
- Education
University Degree or equivalent experience
- Experience
Minimum 2 years of work experience in logistics and supply chain or shipping
- Technical Skills
Strong computer skills in MS Office applications
Proficient skills in Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge & Competencies
Good understanding of logistical chain
Knowledge of risks involved in logistics operations
Understanding of best practices to deliver proper execution of trade
- Language Requirements
Fluent English (spoken and written)
Preferred Qualifications
- Education
STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) or Economics degree
- Language Skills
Knowledge of French or Spanish language

Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate deliveries from/ to the counterparties
• Arrange logistics (inland and sea) to execute a trade
• Manage operational costs
• Review purchase invoices and coordinate payments to Suppliers
• Prepare sales invoices
• Arrange for weighing and sampling of the product
• Arrange for quality determination of product
• Coordinate customs clearance of the cargo
• Manage stock (inventory) positions
• Ensure internal systems are updated in a timely and diligent manner
