Team Overview

Schroders manages over GBP75bn in global fixed income alpha strategies, with credit at the core of our approach. In addition, Schroders oversee around GBP200bn in solutions mandates, approximately half of which are allocated to fixed income and credit. Our Global Credit Research platform, which plays a key role in within the fixed income platform, is centralized in three key hubsNew York, London, and Singapore.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Finance Analyst to join Schroders Public Bond Credit Research team on a fixed-term basis (initially one year, with potential for extension). 

This role will focus on strengthening our analytical capability in the rapidly expanding AI data centre debt marketan area of increasing importance given rising issuance volumes and growing portfolio exposure. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting credit analysis of AI data centre debt issuance within public bond portfolios 
  • Develop a robust framework for assessing project finance risks in digital infrastructure assets 
  • Evaluate highly leveraged capital structures
  • Analyse key risk factors including: 
    • Construction and execution risk 
    • Changes in cost of debt and capital structure dynamics 
    • Credit rating methodology shifts 
    • Counterparty / anchor tenant creditworthiness 
  • Challenge and refine existing assumptions. 
  • Provide clear, actionable insights to fellow analysts and portfolio managers to support investment decisions and client communication 

Candidate Profile:

  • Minimum 5+ years experience in project finance, infrastructure finance, or structured credit 
  • Strong preference for experience in data centres, digital infrastructure, or adjacent sectors 
  • Deep understanding of project finance structures and risk drivers versus corporate credit 
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse complex, large-scale financing arrangements 
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical findings to investment and client-facing teams 

This is a high-impact role addressing a critical gap in our current research platform. 

With significant and growing exposure to AI data centre debt across portfolios, the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring Schroders remains ahead of emerging risks in this space. 

 

Compensation
Schroders offers a base salary in the range of $150,000 - $200,000 for this position.


This range reflects the Companys good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary depending on factors such as experience, education, geographic location, and skill set.
