About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Portfolio Credit Administrator in the London office.

This role will support the end-to-end credit process by ensuring accurate handling of financial data, documentation, and customer information. You will work across teams to process transactions efficiently, maintain data quality, and ensure compliance with internal credit risk policies.


In this role, you will:

  • Collect, review, and record financial statements, inventory insurance information, and customer credit reports
  • Prepare timely and accurate financial spreads of incoming statements, prioritising tasks to meet turnaround times for credit requests and periodic reviews
  • Support the credit line increase process, including submitting straightforward increase requests for existing customers
  • Independently prepare and complete new transactions, as well as periodic reviews of existing exposures
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to support the end-to-end dealer transaction process and meet agreed cycle times
  • Ensure all credit documentation is complete, accurate, and properly maintained in line with internal standards
  • Process and maintain customer data, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and high-quality data entry in systems
  • Maintain and update collateral data within the sub-ledger system
  • Communicate approval conditions clearly to relevant stakeholders and monitor their timely and accurate fulfilment
  • Ensure all approval conditions are met, finance and legal documentation is properly archived, and a closing memo is completed prior to credit line activation
  • Adhere to Credit Risk Policies and Procedures in all activities
  • Collect, review, and record monitoring notices and credit updates for customers
  • Process customer termination requests, ensuring all required checklist items are completed and documentation is fully archived


Required Qualifications:

  • Experience in Credit Portfolio Consulting, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • Previous experience within a bank or financial institution is preferred
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English
  • Additional language skills - German is essential (French, Spanish, or Italian are advantageous)
  • Attention to detail, particularly in data entry and document handling
  • Strong customer service orientation, with the ability to understand and respond to customer needs
  • Reliable, resilient, and well-organised, with the ability to manage workload effectively
  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Self-motivated, with a proactive approach and willingness to learn and develop
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder communication skills


Job Expectations:

  • This role follows a hybrid working model, with an expectation to work in the office 3 days per week.
