About the Role 

We are seeking an established senior finance executive to join our regional Finance leadership team as Head of Finance Australia & New Zealand.

Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this role operates as the 2IC to the CFO and holds enterprisewide accountability for the financial integrity, regulatory standing and control environment of the Bank across Australia and New Zealand. It is a role of depth, breadth, and consequence, deal for a finance leader preparing for future CFO responsibility within a regulated banking environment.

Role Accountabilities

As Head of Finance, you will lead the Financial systems and processing function across Australia and New Zealand, with endtoend accountability for the General Ledger, finance systems and financial data that underpin all statutory, regulatory and management reporting, as well as the embedded 1st line risk activities within Finance.

You will act as a senior advisor to the CFO, Executive Leadership Team and senior global finance stakeholders with delegated authority across key finance, risk and governance matters, and represent the region within Rabobanks global finance leadership and design forums.

This role combines executivelevel leadership with handson ownership of core banking finance disciplines, and requires strong judgement, regulatory confidence and the ability to lead through complexity at scale.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide executive leadership across the CFO Domain and stepping in as required on strategic, regulatory and operational matters
  • Lead and develop the Finance function across Australia and New Zealand, building deep capability and strong succession
  • Own the integrity, accuracy and governance of the General Ledger as the single source of truth for the Bank
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, prudential requirements and internal control frameworks in a regulated banking environment
  • Provide firstline risk leadership for the CFO Domain, including FARrelated accountabilities
  • Oversee finance systems, data quality and Accounts Payable, with a strong focus on resilience, automation and control
  • Play a senior role in finance transformation, operating model design and system modernisation initiatives
  • Partner closely with Technology, Risk, Data and Head Office teams to align regional execution with global strategy
  • Lead external audit relationships and support senior engagement with regulators where required

What youll bring

  • CA or CPA qualification, with a Bachelors degree in Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline
  • Substantial senior finance leadership experience within banking or complex regulated financial services
  • Demonstrated accountability for regulatorycritical finance functions, financial control and enterprise risk
  • Deep understanding of accounting standards, prudential regulation and control environments
  • Strong experience with finance systems, data management and transformation in large organisations
  • Executive presence and judgement, with the ability to influence at Csuite and boardadjacent level
  • A leadership style that drives performance, accountability and strong risk culture
