Skills and Competencies

  • Demonstrated success as a hunter or new business sales professional, consistently originating pipeline, leading discovery, and closing new logos and net-new expansion within existing accounts
  • Strong working knowledge of Anti Money Laundering (AML), Know Your Customer (KYC), sanctions, screening, onboarding, and ongoing monitoring workflows, including how clients operationalize these processes
  • Experience selling workflow and data solutions, including Moodys Maxsight and related screening capabilities
  • Ability to sell unique, high-value datasets to quantitative and data-driven stakeholders such as quantitative research, risk analytics, data science, and model development teams, clearly articulating differentiation and value
  • Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to map client objectives to outcomes, build business cases, manage objections, and negotiate complex commercial terms
  • Executive presence and stakeholder management skills across asset management organizations, including compliance, operations, risk, procurement, and investment data teams

Responsibilities

This role is responsible for driving new business and expansion growth for Moodys AML/KYC data applications within the Asset Management segment through consultative, outcome-oriented selling of workflow, screening, and data solutions.
  • Drive new business and expansion for Moodys AML/KYC data applications within the Asset Management segment by selling workflow and screening solutions that improve onboarding, monitoring, and compliance outcomes
  • Own the full new business (hunter) sales motion for AML/KYC data applications, including prospecting, discovery, solution positioning, pricing, negotiation, and close
  • Drive net-new expansion within existing accounts by identifying additional use cases such as onboarding, vendor screening, monitoring, investigations, and reporting, and expanding adoption across teams and regions
  • Position and sell integrated solutions, including Moodys Maxsight and screening capabilities such as Grid, aligning solution value to client pain points including false positives, inefficient onboarding, and fragmented risk intelligence
  • Sell unique datasets and data applications to quantitative and analytics-focused stakeholders, articulating data differentiation, quality, coverage, and applicability to investment and compliance workflows
  • Build and maintain multi-threaded relationships across compliance, operations, risk, data, and procurement stakeholders, developing account strategies and mutual success plans to support sustained growth
  • Partner with Solutions, Product, and Customer Success teams to support demonstrations, pilots, implementation readiness, and post-sale adoption, ensuring strong handoffs and accelerated time to value

About the Team

The AML/KYC Data Apps Workflow Specialist team supports Asset Management clients in managing financial crime and third-party risk by combining workflow technology with high-value data and screening capabilities. The team helps clients enhance onboarding and monitoring processes, reduce compliance friction, and connect risk intelligence across functions through unified risk platform capabilities. This is a growth-oriented sales team focused on driving expanded adoption of Moodys screening, KYC, and Grid-related workflow solutions across the asset management industry.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $82,400.00 -  $119,450.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moodys also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
