Operations Specialist - Corporate Actions

Role Summary
The Operations Specialist is responsible for the end-to-end management, reconciliation, and communication of all corporate action events and entitlements, ensuring accurate reflection in positions, cash, and P&L while maintaining a robust control environment.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Monitor, coordinate, and communicate all corporate actions and related entitlements to the relevant trading teams.
  • Perform daily trade, cash, position, and market value reconciliations related to corporate action events; identify and resolve breaks on a timely basis.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of corporate actions (mandatory and voluntary), including event capture, instruction, entitlement calculation, and verification.
  • Resolve exceptions arising from corporate action processing.
  • Liaise with PMs, the Execution Desk, prime brokers, custodians, and agents to ensure accurate and timely processing of all events.
  • Respond promptly to PM, broker, and counterparty queries related to corporate actions and associated positions or cash movements.
  • Contribute to the enhancement and automation of workflows, controls, and reporting in partnership with Technology.

Qualifications / Skills Required

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in Corporate Actions.
  • Strong front-to-back knowledge of corporate action event types and processing, including P&L, position, and financing implications.
  • Advanced Excel skills and ability to work with large datasets to reconcile, analyze, and improve processes. Python skills to support process automation are advantageous.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage operational risk through robust controls, timely resolution of breaks, and effective escalation.
  • Strong, professional communication skills with the confidence to interact directly with trading desks, PMs, and external counterparties.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-moving, team-based environment, while maintaining high attention to detail and ownership of deliverables.

The estimated base salary range for this position is $70,000 to $160,000, which is specific to New York and may change in the future. Millennium pays a total compensation package which includes a base salary, discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package. When finalizing an offer, we take into consideration an individual’s experience level and the qualifications they bring to the role to formulate a competitive total compensation package.
