Join a team that manages client instructions and allocations for voluntary corporate actions, gaining experience with both internal and external counterparts. The team processes events and payments for U.S., Canada, and Latin America, handling a variety of corporate actions like Tender Offers, Merger Elections, and more. Be part of the Markets Asset Servicing team that oversees global corporate actions, ensuring smooth announcement, processing, and settlement, along with income collection and payment for all asset classes.

As an Asset Associate II within our Markets Operations, you will manage and process corporate action events impacting client and firm securities holdings, collaborating with internal teams, custodians, and clients to reduce risk and maintain compliance. You will focus on ensuring accurate and timely communication, instruction, and settlement for various voluntary events, including mergers, tender offers, exchanges and rights issues.
 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, interpret, process and pay voluntary of corporate action events for client portfolios.
  • Review and validate event details from custodians, agents, and market sources.
  • Communicate event information and options to clients in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Capture, process and pay client instructions for voluntary events, ensuring deadlines and requirements are met.
  • Reconcile entitlements and payments, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
  • Liaise with internal teams (e.g., trading, middle office, settlements) to ensure smooth event processing.
  • Maintain up-to-date records and documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
  • Identify process improvements and contribute to automation and efficiency initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Support risk management by escalating issues and exceptions as needed.

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • 3 years of experience in Asset Servicing/Voluntary Corporate Actions.
  • Knowledge of DTC (Hub, Smart track, and CNS).
  • Knowledge of Euroclear.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and other Microsoft applications.
  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to rapidly changing business and technology needs.
  • Strong risk and control awareness and ability to implement mitigating controls.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize workloads and work to critical deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality.
  • Exceptional problem / issue resolution skills.
  • Capable of working in a fast paced environment.
  • Must be extremely adaptable and open to change.

 

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance or equivalent work experience.
  • Series 99/SIE Certifications.
  • Asset servicing knowledge and experience within securities operation environment.
  • Experience with Prime Finance, Equity Derivatives, or Fixed Income products.
  • Experience with reconciliation tools and risk reporting systems.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements in asset servicing, knowledge of the transaction / trade lifecycle..
  • Exposure to project work or process improvement initiatives.
