Purpose of Role
The Capital Markets – XFA 1, Chicago Board Options Exchange Intern supports the trading desk by ensuring efficient operational workflows and accurate market data analysis across daily activities. The role is responsible for assisting with clearing processes, hedging activities, and investment solution execution, while helping coordinate agency execution and transaction workflows to maintain smooth trade operations. In addition, this role contributes to reporting and documentation efforts for commodity markets and supports the development of trading insights. The role also provides exposure to core services—including market making, clearing, and risk management—building foundational knowledge critical to the firm’s trading and operational functions.
Responsibilities
- Support trading desk operations and market data analysis.
- Assist with clearing, hedging, and investment solution processes.
- Help coordinate agency execution and transaction workflows.
- Contribute to reporting and documentation for commodity markets.
- Learn core services: market making, clearing, and risk management.
