As a Markets Intern, you will join one of four tracks—Sales, Trading, Structuring & Origination, or Digital Markets—building skills and a professional network that will lay a strong foundation for your career. Our global Markets teams help clients manage risk, increase returns, and solve complex financial problems while tackling challenging business issues.

Job Summary
As a Markets Intern in our team, you will join one of four tracks:

  • Sales: Build client relationships, package tailored solutions, and help clients navigate our product offerings.
  • Trading: Provide liquidity, respond to market events, and manage risk across major asset classes.
  • Structuring & Origination: Develop innovative investor products, liability management, and hedging solutions for a range of clients.
  • Digital Markets: Drive digital distribution strategies and business efficiency through automation and innovation.
  • You will support senior colleagues with research, analysis, and preparatory work, monitor markets, develop trade ideas, conduct portfolio reviews, and learn about our client solutions. From day one, your contributions will be valuable, and you’ll receive training from expert instructors and J.P. Morgan professionals on our history, organization, and future plans, as well as technical and practical skills to help you succeed. This program offers hands-on experience, skills training, and professional networking, with the potential for full-time employment offers based on your performance.

    Job Responsibilities

  • Support senior colleagues with research, analysis, and preparatory work
  • Monitor markets and develop trade ideas
  • Conduct portfolio reviews and learn about client solutions
  • Prepare and present market updates and trade recommendations
  • Collaborate with team members across Sales, Trading, Structuring & Origination, or Digital Markets
  • Participate in training sessions and professional development activities
  • Contribute to the team’s efforts in solving complex financial problems
  • Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Strong interest in global financial markets
  • Excellent analytical, quantitative (algebra, statistics, probability), and interpretative skills
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, collaborative work environment
  • Adaptable, flexible, and resilient
  • Fluency in English
  • Coursework in finance or economics
  • Graduation date of December 2027 – June 2028 from a Bachelor’s or Master’s program
  • If pursuing a Master’s degree, it must be within 2 years of receiving your Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale
  • Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Confidence and initiative to take on responsibility and manage projects
  • To be eligible for this program, you must be authorized to work in the U.S. We offer limited sponsorship for those enrolled in STEM degree programs that are heavily indexed in finance.
