Salary: £112,000 – £131,500
Hours: Full-time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least
two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our London office
About us
Our team, Group Strategy, acts as an internal consulting team within Lloyds Banking Group, collaborating with a variety of business areas on strategic matters. We also work closely with Competitor Analysis, Corporate Development, Fintech Investments and Investor Relations teams to develop strategic solutions for challenging problems facing the Group. Our team is non-hierarchical, and everyone is encouraged to voice their opinion.
What you’ll be doing
In the role of Senior Strategy Manager, you have the opportunity to contribute to and shape the strategic direction of a leading UK financial services group. This has three key responsibilities:
Develop and review strategy
Drive strategic priorities by solving complex business problems through a structured, analytical approach to develop options and recommendations.
Improve Group and Business unit strategies, directly supporting the Group CEO, CFO and BU CEOs.
Build concise, compelling narratives to communicate findings and recommendations.
Provide strategic input and face-off to senior business partners
Offer thought leadership in areas of expertise.
Run projects within tight timelines.
Engage and brief senior business partners as needed.
Support the Group Strategy Director and senior team members in delivering strategy projects and responding to ad-hoc requests.
Collaborate actively
Collaborate within Group strategy and with other teams to deliver the required output.
Collaborate with external consultants as needed.
Model LBG culture and values, contributing to team development through best practice sharing and active collaboration.

We're looking for someone who is intellectually curious, prior experience in strategy or consulting would also be a great advantage. The five key skills that would make you stand out are as follows:
Problem Solving – Able to set out a logical and reasoned approach to answer strategic questions and develop output which brings out key messages.
Stakeholder and Process Management – Lead workstreams, drive content generation, manage stakeholders, and ensure timely delivery.
Content Expertise – Understand the Group’s business environment, industry best practices, and key developments, applying this knowledge to develop implications and outputs.
Strategy Toolkit – Possess strong analytical and modelling skills alongside an understanding of financial concepts. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are critical.
Team Development – Actively support the growth of junior team members by providing clear guidance, structured feedback, and opportunities to develop their analytical and strategic skills.
