KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Associate to join our Events and Meetings organization.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute in-person, virtual, and hybrid events or programs in support of senior firm leadership and priority stakeholders, including but not limited to: project timelines, contract negotiation, budgeting and approvals, data analysis and reporting, innovative event concepts, executive-level attendee experience design, support of agenda development, and logistics management; manage all aspects of preplanning, postevent, and onsite support, including food and beverage, vendor coordination, A/V oversight, room setups, and other duties based on the event needs
- Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned senior leaders and their support teams, building and maintaining strong relationships with multiple stakeholders aligned to business groups; ensure service delivery is aligned with event goals, firm priorities, and the expectations associated with executive-facing programs; ensure the highest industry and firm standards are established in all aspects of meeting and event planning
- Collaborate and manage deliverables with other internal departments and external vendors, often within complex, highly visible, or time-sensitive environments
- Work as part of the planning team on large-scale programs to support event objectives and logistics, while also maintaining dedicated ownership of programs for assigned stakeholders
- Work both independently and as part of a project team to make decisions with a high degree of professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment in accordance with firm policies, procedures, compliance, and risk management, using firm-supported tools and appropriately escalating risks or issues as needed
- Collaborate with Events & Meetings colleagues to share industry updates, promote best practices, drive synergies and consistency, and foster a culture of innovation to highlight a clientcentric approach
- Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment
Qualifications:
- Minimum three years of recent experience in events and meeting planning within a professional services firm is preferred, with experience supporting seniorlevel or executive stakeholders strongly preferred
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred; high school diploma or GED required
- Experience in professional relationship building and key client/stakeholder management, including the ability to partner effectively with senior leaders and their support teams
- Strong communication, problemsolving, analytical, and independent judgment skills to support an environment driven by client focus and teamwork; able to ideate, create, plan, and execute executivelevel events requiring attention to detail, discretion, and responsiveness, and comfort operating in high-pressure, time-sensitive environments, consistently meeting and exceeding key stakeholder objectives
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and applications including Copilot and other AI technologies; Cvent experience or knowledge is preferred
- Ability to travel up to 30% as needed
