As a Trade Lifecycle Analyst within the Market Operations team, you will provide comprehensive operational support for the Equities business, focusing on Asia Settlements. You will manage daily business deliverables, including trade instruction releases and settlement processes, while ensuring service quality and operational excellence. You will collaborate with the Process Vice President to drive superior operations, document and update procedures, identify control enhancements, and proactively resolve issues. You will also participate in global and local projects, contributing to process re-engineering and system enhancements to improve efficiency and controls.

Job responsibilities

  • Manage cash movements into and out of client accounts, ensuring accurate allocation, reconciliation, and timely settlement of trades.
  • Oversee day-to-day business deliverables, including release of trade instructions, inventory/position management, and inter-company reconciliation prior to settlement.
  • Collaborate with other business lines to facilitate proper funding and maintain seamless coordination and communication.
  • Ensure operational procedures are followed, tasks are completed accurately and on time, and service quality standards are met.
  • Support the Process Vice President in delivering top-quality operations and global business objectives.
  • Document and regularly update procedures (e.g., SOPs), and identify requirements for additional controls.
  • Investigate and escalate issues such as fails and breaks, and provide daily/weekly statistics and reporting.
  • Contribute to process improvements and re-engineering initiatives, leveraging automation technologies to enhance efficiency and controls.
  • Participate in global and local projects, including new business, system enhancements, and market rule changes.
  • Develop a foundational understanding of market products and regulations, applying this knowledge to daily operations and decision-making.
  • Adapt to tight deadlines by effectively organizing and prioritizing work, and proactively challenge the status quo to drive continuous improvement.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Minimum three years of experience in banking, financial services, treasury, or a related function, with familiarity in asset servicing, trade management, and settlements.
  • Solid understanding of financial markets, transaction lifecycle, and related products and services.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cash movements and coordinate with various business lines.
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies and automation technologies focused on operational efficiency.
  • Strong control and audit mindset, with knowledge of industry policies and regulations.
  • Effective communication, organization, and leadership skills; able to build productive relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management principles, with experience supporting project planning and execution.
  • Strong relationship-building and time management skills.
  • Flexibility to work on holidays or extended hours during high-volume periods.
