As a Data Management Analyst, you’ll help drive data modernization and AI adoption by implementing robust data governance practices and collaborating with stakeholders across the firm. As a Data Management Analyst in the Legal Chief Data Office, you will be responsible for implementing Legal Data Use and Data Quality Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), guiding data requestors through data sharing and quality assurance processes, and ensuring compliance with firmwide policies and regulatory requirements. You will collaborate cross-functionally to support governance, data quality, and reporting needs, and play a key role in maintaining the integrity and responsible use of legal data.

Job Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain Legal Data Use and Data Quality SOPs, ensuring all processes are followed, documented, and continuously improved
  • Guide data requestors through data use, sharing, and quality assurance processes, including completion of required forms, navigation of approval workflows, and adherence to data quality standards
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Controls, Legal, Compliance, Privacy, and other Lines of Business/Corporate Functions to assess, review, and approve data use cases, and evaluate and monitor data quality
  • Facilitate meetings, prepare materials, and support the Legal Data Use Council’s decision-making, escalation, and data quality review processes
  • Monitor approved data use cases for compliance with conditions, support periodic reviews and re-evaluations, and ensure ongoing data quality
  • Maintain accurate records and support small-scale reporting requirements related to data use cases, data quality monitoring, and related events
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with stakeholders at all levels, providing guidance and support throughout the data use and data quality lifecycle
  • Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, communications, or equivalent work experience
  • Strong interpersonal, partnership, and influencing skills
  • Attention to detail and results-oriented approach
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to successfully deliver on multiple priorities with high-quality deliverables
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Fast learner with the ability to adapt quickly

  • Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Experience supporting data governance or compliance functions
  • Familiarity with legal, compliance, or privacy requirements in financial services
  • Proven ability to drive process improvements
  • Experience working in multinational organizations
  • Commitment to accuracy and compliance 
  • Experience with Tableau and reporting tools 
  • Financial services background 
  • All candidates for roles in the Legal department must successfully complete a conflicts of interest clearance review prior to commencement of employment.
