We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Transitions Manager
In this role, you will:
- Project Management: Planning and executing all operational aspects of client transition events, such as new account fundings, terminations, and portfolio restructures.
- Coordination & Communication: Acting as the central liaison between clients, global relationship teams, investment teams, trading desks, custodians, and third-party administrators to ensure a consistent service model.
- Asset Transfer & Reconciliation: Coordinating the execution of cash and in-kind (securities) asset transfers, monitoring electronic transfers, and reconciling trade execution files with external transition managers and custodians.
- Risk Management & Compliance: Emphasizing operational risk management and maintaining a strong control environment. This involves adhering to all regulatory requirements (e.g., CASS rules in the UK), updating procedures, and escalating issues promptly.
- Issue Resolution: Investigating and resolving queries and issues that arise during the transfer process to ensure client satisfaction and prevent "performance holidays" (periods where assets are not invested).
- Process Improvement: Proactively identifying and implementing process enhancements and leveraging technology to improve operational efficiency and the overall client experience
To be successful you will:
- Experience: Proven experience in investment operations, settlements, fund accounting, or financial services operations.
- Technical Knowledge: Broad understanding of investment processes, custody functions, different asset classes (equities, fixed income, derivatives), and relevant regulations.
- Analytical Abilities: Strong numerical and analytical skills, with the capacity to synthesize complex information and manage large data sets.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills for building strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders and effectively communicating complex information to clients.
- Organizational Skills: Exceptional project planning, time management, and execution skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively under time constraints.
- Knowledge of the corporate actions lifecycle
- Experience with international payment procedures
- Awareness of Vault and Unit Trust operations
- Understanding of financial securities and their mechanisms
- Experience in client-facing roles and operational areas within a global custodian.
