We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Test Manager
In this role, you will:
- Promote adherence to testing best practice and governance
- Define, document and agree the test strategy, approach and plans for the project/release. Document and agree the required test artefacts and deliverables
- Actively manage and coordinate test activities in accordance with the project/release timeline
- Identify and document testing assumptions, risks and issues, and ensure these are communicated to stakeholders
- Assess and document required test resourcing to meet the project/release timeline
- Capture key learnings from each project/release so these can be used to improve test practice and approach for future implementations
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- Acknowledge and address stakeholder concerns and provide guidance towards resolving issues
- Support team members by fostering an open, inclusive culture with a focus on personal well-being
- Identify key person dependencies (KPDs) on individual projects and within the wider team, and develop succession plans to address KPDs
To be successful you will:
- University degree or professional diploma/certification in Computer Science or related fields
- Strong knowledge of the testing lifecycle
- Expertise in functional, integration, user acceptance and model office testing
- Experience in working with different testing metholodogies, i.e. Agile, Hybrid and Waterfall
- Demonstrable experience in leading and managing test teams (minimum five years’ experience)
- Ability to effectively prioritise competing demands and work with minimal direction
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to understand and interepret complex business and IT requirements
- Demonstrable capability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally with a variety of stakeholders and a globally dispersed team
- Financial services experience, ideally in securities services or asset management
