GCOO - Asia & Middle East COO

Our GCOO organisation is critical for HSBC. This team partners closely with business teams to drive simplification and deliver exceptional customer outcomes in Asia and the Middle East region which covers 26 markets, 600+ offices and branches, and more than 140,000 employees. By strengthening our control environment and enhancing risk management, we drive operational excellence and enable the bank to deliver focused and sustainable growth in this super-region.

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team.

In this role, you will:

This role performs capable and professional support to branch DM (branch COO) for branch level COO support to business and the overall branch management in terms of in-source vendor performance management, chop management, voucher control, staff communications & engagement, regulator related coordination/relationship building and public affairs and administration management etc. to ensure the bank security, administration, operations and processing quality and productivity are up to Banks standard and fully compliant with local regulatory requirement.

  • Document management disseminating information, drafting presentations and documents, file and document management
  • Record administration maintaining records, information resources and data processing
  • Co-ordination co-ordinating branch activities, arranging resources, meetings, services and supplies
  • Control gatekeeper or primary point of contact roles for an area
  • Manage Monitor the performance of in-source vendors, review and control service standards adherence;
  • Support - Provide with assistance to branches on residential services to meet the rapid business growth. Support ad-hoc tasks and take back-up role of Branch Security.

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor or Master degree graduates
  • Three to five years working experience
  • Proficient in Chinese and English Language, both written and spoken. Good presentation skills.
  • To meet customers expectations by delivering excellent services.
  • Good business acumen, customer-oriented attitude, strong analytic and reasoning skills
  • Good management and decision-making skills
  • Good communication skills and could build relationships and work with a wide range of organizations and individuals.
  • Strong implementation ability and influencing others cross-functionally to deliver on results.
  • Ability to think broadly and still achieve high attention to details.
