Our Murrin Murrin site in WAs northern Goldfields is an integrated nickel and cobalt mining and processing operation employing over 1,000 people. Murrin Murrin Operations is wholly owned by Glencore, one of the worlds largest globally diversified natural resources companies and a major producer and marketer of more than 60 commodities. The Role
The successful person will become a member of a hardworking and committed team who are responsible for supporting the Supervisor Mine Operations in delivering targets and KPIs for mine operations. The incumbent also assists with team development, liaises with other sections and departments in order to ensure the best possible outcomes for all personnel and equipment. 

You will be responsible for:
  • Acting in the role of Supervisor as required.
  • Ensuring compliance by mining crews with all Murrin Murrin Operations (MMO) safe work practices, policies and procedures.
  • As a representative of the Quarry Manager, ensure personnel in the mining areas are not exposed to hazards - this will be achieved by undertaking regular workplace inspections, engaging personnel and directing the mining crew operations accordingly.
  • Ensuring effective utilisation of the mining fleet to deliver on the mining plan.
  • Completing all required statutory and area specific documentation.
  • Directing and supporting the mining team to achieve production requirements.
About You
This role would suit an organised and flexible leader able to implement and monitor different task simultaneously whilst supporting your team to achieve production targets.

You will also have:
  • WA HR class drivers licence (minimum).
  • Successful completion of an approved WHS Risk management unit for statutory supervisors
  • Evidence of successfully passing an applicable legislation examination for statutory supervisors
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Restricted Quarry Managers Certificate of Competency (preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years mining experience in a similar excavator and haul truck operation
  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a supervisor or worker in a similar operation or industry
  • Minimum 1 year mining experience in a leading hand equivalent role
  • Experience in the operation of a variety of surface mobile equipment
