The Role
This position is for a mainframe developer / support engineer within the Transfer of Assets(TOA) team covering our mainframe code base for TOA products in the Brokerage Recordkeeping Technology organization.
This Engineer will be responsible for responding to Code, Analyze new requirements and Debug Production issues and incidents to assure they are remediated in a timely manner and take actions to prevent them in the future. The position requires the person to work closely with our business partners responding to application specific questions and work with the product teams to promote availability, resilience, and stability. The positions needs a highly motivated individual who can quickly scale and learn the TOA system and participate in ongoing projects constructively.
Responsibilities
This position requires an experienced mainframe developer / support person with the following:-
Strong knowledge on CICS, COBOL, DB2, VSAM and JCL.
Good understanding of CICS Dynamic Transaction Routing process.
Should be familiar with mainframe and DB2 tools, File-Aid, scheduler and debugger tools.
Good understanding of Distributed Applications/ System
Exposure to Brokerage/Finance domain. Specific know of Asset movement products would be an added advantage
Prior experience of working in highly transactional, fault tolerant and data driven systems.
Ability to identify areas of risk or potential problems and take action to mitigate them and work with less experienced staff to mitigate more complex issues.
Ability to work with different teams across different geographical locations.
Ability to diagnose problems and generate effective solutions
Good understanding of Agile methodologies and Tools
