Qualifications:
- Assisting in delivering quality tax services in line with client expectations
- Supporting senior team members in the planning, execution, and delivery of tax engagements
- Taking part in tax projects and learning across different types of assignments
- Contributing to the work of a specific and growing area of EYs tax practice
- Developing practical skills and knowledge in tax law, financial accounting, presentation materials, basic project coordination, risk awareness, and business development support
- Collecting, reviewing, and accurately analyzing information and data under supervision
- Assisting in preparing professional and practical solutions for client matters, including draft analyses, calculations, and working papers
- Applying sound judgment to daytoday tasks and escalating complex issues to senior team members when appropriate
- Supporting the preparation for meetings with client management teams
- Assisting in the preparation of reports, schedules, and other client deliverables
- Maintaining positive working relationships with team members and client contacts
- Working effectively as a team member by sharing responsibility, communicating openly, and keeping senior colleagues informed of progress
- Building internal relationships within EY Tax and collaborating with colleagues across service lines
- Actively seeking feedback and contributing to personal and team development
- Delivering accurate and timely work, even under tight deadlines
To qualify for the role, you must have
- A university degree (or finalyear student) in economics, finance, accounting, or law (including joint degrees)
- Basic knowledge or strong interest in taxation, with an understanding of financial accounting fundamentals
- Good Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Previous internship or up to 12 years of experience in tax, accounting, audit, or a related field would be an advantage
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Azerbaijani
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Good organizational skills, analytical thinking, and attention to detail
- ACCA papers started or interest in pursuing ACCA will be considered an asset
- A proactive, motivated, and responsible attitude with a willingness to learn
- Ability to approach problems in a structured and practical way
- Willingness to work with clients from government, commercial, and industrial sectors under guidance
- A commitment to delivering clientfocused results and highquality work
