18-Month Internship Programme (EY South Africa & FASSET) 

EY South Africa, in conjunction with FASSET, is recruiting interns for an 18-month internship programme that provides structured, practical workplace experience for TVET N6 graduates in the following disciplines:

  • Human Resource Management

The programme supports the Work-Based Experience (WBE) component required for completion of the National N-Diploma. Interns will gain hands-on exposure in a professional environment, contribute to meaningful project work, and receive support through structured onboarding, coaching, mentoring, and monthly check-ins aligned to internship best practice.

 

Key Objectives

  • Provide practical workplace experience aligned to each interns field of study.
  • Develop technical and professional (soft) skills that support workplace readiness.
  • Support interns in completing WBE requirements toward their National N-Diploma.
  • Enable interns to contribute meaningfully to departmental projects and day-to-day operations.

 

Minimum Requirements

  • Completed N6 qualification in Human Resource Management.
  • Official letter from the TVET college confirming the requirement to complete 18 months of Work-Based Experience (WBE) to obtain the National N-Diploma.
  • South African citizen, aged 1835.
  • Have not previously participated in an internship programme.
  • Good academic standing, strong communication skills, and willingness to learn.

  • Collaboration and the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Effective time management and organisational skills, with attention to detail.
  • Problem-solving ability, adaptability, and a growth mindset.

  • An assigned career mentor and buddy to support integration and development.
  • Monthly check-ins with HR and programme coordinators to review progress and learning goals.
  • Structured onboarding, induction, and access to required systems and resources.
  • Opportunities to attend learning sessions, skills workshops, and team meetings.
  • A monthly stipend for the duration of the programme (as applicable).
