Full Job Description

Your tasks

  • Providing first-level technical support to end users (hardware, software, network, and access issues):
    • Accepting end-user phone calls and emails;
    • Classifying incidents and requests and logging tickets as required;
    • Taking end-to-end ticket ownership on behalf of customers;
    • Escalating issues to the next higher support level if required;
    • Providing initial solutions within prescribed use cases;
    • Documenting and updating incidents and requests;
  • Supporting users in creating requests, e.g. for backup and restore requests;
  • User administration (mailboxes; user accounts; lock/reset Password, folder access);
  • Collaborating with team members on IT improvement initiatives;
  • Collaborating closely with senior team members to gain practical knowledge and mentorship.

Your profile

  • Familiarity with Windows Operating System and enterprise IT environments;
  • Experience with Windows and Microsoft client products;
  • Solid hardware knowledge;
  • Good team player with high ability to work in cross-locational and international teams;
  • Very good knowledge of English and German;
  • Currently enrolled in a Computer Science or related degree program.

Within the cluster Digital Workplace, we provide a global end-to-end operation of workplace services (hardware and software at the workplace, CapCom, all phones, collaboration tools, SharePoint, Office 365, etc.) and customer-oriented continuous innovation.  This includes vendor/supplier/outsourcing management as well as strategic development of workplace services, product, and hardware management up to various service offerings regarding end-user support or digitalization activities.

You will be involved in all activities regarding End User Support tasks of our 1st Level Support Structure. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain real-world experience in IT support, troubleshooting, and user engagement within a dynamic enterprise environment. It aims to provide you with essential work and IT skills and prepare you for a future employment and continuing career within our Digital Technology Center.
