Job Overview

The IT Business Lead Analyst is a mid-senior level position responsible for liaising between business users and technologists to exchange information in a concise, logical and understandable way in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to continuous iterative exploration and investigation of business performance and other measures to gain insight and drive business planning.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of innovative technical solutions for XVA business needs, specifically for Regulatory requirements, and manage complex, high-volume applications in partnership with XVA business and stakeholders.

  • Oversee multiple workstreams and applications across geographies pertinent to XVA systems, Regulatory deliverables, and related risk management applications.

  • Drive the formulation of strategies and processes for the XVA Product Roadmap, encompassing development, governance, and defining standards for new automation initiatives within XVA IT.

  • Develop compelling communication to guide, influence, and align diverse stakeholders, including business users, technology teams, and external partners.

  • Provide expert advice and counsel on XVA technology and operational processes, filtering, prioritizing, and validating complex requirements from various sources, particularly those related to Regulatory frameworks.

  • Provide direction and technical leadership on complex, high-impact projects and in all phases of the development and implementation process, ensuring essential procedures are followed

  • Provide evaluative judgment based on analysis of information in complicated and unique situations and contribute to formulation of standards and strategies for own area and other functional areas

  • Resolve issues that have impact beyond own area and apply in-depth understanding of concepts and procedures within own area and basic knowledge of other areas

  • Work as a team to achieve objectives and negotiate with internal and external parties

  • Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years experiences in a financial services firm in a role of Product Owner, Business Analyst, Project Manager

  • Fundamental Review of the Trading Book (FRTB) regulations experience preferred.

  • A working knowledge in various technologies (e.g., Python, MongoDB, Java, Restful API, cloud-based services). Hands on experience of working directly with development teams. Hands on knowledge of Python, MongoDB queries is preferred.

  • Prior business analysis experience in the domain of risk is preferred. Knowledge of counterparty credit risk / CVA is preferred

  • Experience of working in Agile environment and building and coaching agile teams

  • Engineering, Finance, or Mathematics background is preferred

  • Demonstrated capability to develop and maintain effective work relationships with front office, quantitative stakeholders and front office technology teams

  • Proven ability to conduct research/analysis, organize findings and build requirements documents

  • Experience of working with virtual teams will be preferred

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, experience coordinating with technology teams

  • Educational Level: Bachelors Degree required.

  • Exceptional candidates who do not meet these criteria, may be considered for the role, and provided they have relevant skills and experience
