Job Overview

The Product Specialist is responsible for the development of product plans, strategies and tactics in coordination with the Product Management team. The position is part of the US Wealth Payments Team, specifically in the Debit Card team that is responsible for all facets of Citibanks debit cards.This includes how a Citibank customer can request a card, the card package sent to the customer, the design of the card, activation of the card, and the use of the card at merchants.

Responsibilities:

  • The role's primary focus will be on the debit card delivery journey.  This includes card distribution flow from how customers can order a card, to the card carrier information, how they then activate the debit card.

  • The Individual will work closely with digital development teams, vendor management, and the customer experience teams.  In working with the customer experience team the individual will look for opportunities to identify customer pain points in the card ordering journey.  The individual will help to map out the changes by putting together a roadmap that groups like pain points together that address the customer experience gaps.

  • The individual will present the status of the card delivery roadmap to senior management from time to time.

  • The individual will also be responsible for managing the debit card pin delivery experience.  This includes managing our third party vendor Total Systems including validating and submitting the monthly invoice for Pin delivery, and working with the vendor in the event there are issues with pin delivery.

  • The individual can also be called upon to manage debit card related projects and or issues outside the scope of card delivery.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience

  • Demonstrated experience driving business innovation, leveraging management information, and data analytics to drive results

  • Ability to work unsupervised and adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements

  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills

  • Demonstrated analytical and influencing skills

  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

Education:

  • Bachelors degree/University degree or equivalent experience

  • Masters degree preferred
