Lead Presales GCP Solution Architect- E Grade

Capgemini is seeking a Director/Sr Director level executive to lead presales and solution architecture engagements for Google Cloud Platform (GCP) across enterprise clients.
This person will drive large-scale digital transformation initiatives, engage with CXOs, and architect complex GCP-based solutions across diverse industry verticals.

The candidate should have a strategic and enterprise architecture-driven mindset; the firm seeks not only a strong leader who can articulate a vision, but one who can also drive execution of that vision in a very concrete manner that results in tangible business outcomes (bookings, contribution margin, revenue, market recognition).
The role demands a high level of autonomy; a strong appetite to drive change and overcome organizational complexity; and a high level of drive to build a business from its current strong foundations to a potential billion-scale business.

Additional Responsibilities Include:

  • Leading enterprise-level presales engagements for GCP, including executive briefings, architecture workshops, and solution envisioning sessions.
  • Architecting scalable, secure, and cost-optimized GCP solutions aligned with enterprise IT strategies and business goals.
  • Defining cloud transformation roadmaps, reference architectures, and modernization strategies for large customers.
  • Driving the creation of reusable solution assets, accelerators, and frameworks to support repeatable and differentiated offerings.
  • Owning and governing solution design, estimation models, and proposal responses for complex RFPs/RFIs.
  • Collaborating with sales, delivery, product, and partner teams to craft compelling value propositions and win strategies.
  • Presenting technical and strategic solutions to senior stakeholders, including CIOs, CTOs, and enterprise architects.
  • Staying ahead of GCP innovations, especially in Gen AI, data platforms, and industry-specific cloud capabilities.
  • Providing technical assurance and risk mitigation support during deal closure and contract negotiations.

Job Description - E Grade

He/She/They will have 18+ years of experience in IT, with 8+ years in cloud architecture and 5+ years in presales or enterprise architecture roles, with a strong project track record and demonstrated contribution to sales. A Bachelors degree is required; GCP certifications are preferred.

This person is motivated to deliver high-quality work to drive customer satisfaction. They use their intellect, insight, and ability to build creative solutions with clients and colleagues while embracing a collaborative mindset. Key qualifications include:

  • Deep expertise in GCP services (e.g., GKE, BigQuery, Vertex AI, Apigee, Anthos), cloud-native design patterns, and hybrid/multi-cloud strategies.
  • Proven experience in leading large-scale digital transformation or cloud migration programs.
  • Strong background in presales, including customer engagement, RFP/RFI leadership, and commercial modeling.
  • Excellent communication and executive presentation skills; ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Exposure to Gen AI and AI/ML solutioning in enterprise contexts.
  • Knowledge of cloud security, compliance, FinOps, and governance frameworks.
  • Strong customer orientation, decision making, problem solving, communication and presentation skills.
  • Very good judgment skills and ability to shape compelling solutions and solve unstructured problems with assumptions.
  • Very good collaboration skills and ability to interact with multi-cultural and multi-functional teams spread across geographies.
  • Ability to roll up sleeves and lead from the front.
  • Strong executive presence and entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Superb leadership and team building skills with ability to build consensus and achieve goals through collaboration rather than direct line authority.

Preferred Skills:

  • GCP certifications (e.g., Professional Cloud Architect, Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer).
  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman).
  • Experience with other cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and hybrid integration patterns.
