We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Business Architect.

In this role you will:

  • Support various domains and GPB&W markets to align their business strategies with the appropriate solution via clear choice assessment and business architecture design
  • Supports documentation of business strategic vision (goals, products, target customer groups) and develop key artefacts, including customer journeys, capability maps and business architecture, aligning business strategies with operational elements such as process, people and technology
  • Analyses current state against target state architecture to identify gaps and opportunities to help develop innovative solutions for business challenges
  • Collaborates with technology architects and the business to support GPB&w markets alignment to the FSA (Future State Architecture)
  • Supports Asia Business Architecture Leadership in ensuring that business architecture is well documented and communicated, ensuring change activity is informed by target business and operating models
  • Supports domains and business teams with architecture decisions required to progress delivery of new capabilities at pace
  • Helps drive open and honest communication with key stakeholders, ensuring all available options are considered and key design decisions are informed
  • Collaborates with Business Architecture teams in other IWPB business lines as required and technology architecture teams
  • Interlocks with cross-functional teams (e.g. Ops, Regulatory Compliance, Risk, Legal) to ensure feasibility of the architecture design
  • Ensures Business Architecture frameworks (methods, tools, roles, measures) are followed and are continuously updated; thus driving a common high performance approach across GPB&W
  • Ensures Design Board submission is in line with the usual standard, enabling constructive discussions and clear decisions to be made at the meeting
  • Supports the Business Architecture Asia Leadership in communicating the change impacts to appropriate change stakeholders and in escalation of risks and issues to appropriate governance bodies
  • Has a can-do attitude, flexibility and proven ability to think strategically and pragmatically, maintaining high levels of engagement and staying committed to high quality outputs
  • Has a growth mindset and openness to learning new concepts rapidly
  • Has a customer-focused mindset to prioritise value delivery, build trust and ensure solutions meet stakeholders and customers expectations

To be successful you will need:

  • Ability to grasp complex business and technology problems
  • Analytical skills to derive insight from large amount of imperfect data and information
  • Problem-solving abilities to identify gaps and opportunities to help develop innovative solutions for business challenges
  • Experience with Target Business and Operating Models, particularly developing key artefacts
  • Sound business acumen with a general understanding industry trends, competitive landscapes and organizational needs
  • Some knowledge of private banking and wealth management business (e.g. products, segmentation) is preferred
  • Awareness of the purpose, culture and fundamentals of Business Architecture
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Self-driven and able to work independently with limited guidance
  • Minimum of 6 years working in relevant fields (e.g. Consulting, Digital, Transformation, Business Management, Strategy, Product or Platform Development)
  • Experience in supporting large and complex organizational / business change including people, process and technology development
  • Experience of working in business, data, process, organisation architecture and design
