About the role
Join our results-focused team, where we foster an inclusive and high-performance culture. As an Operations Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, integrating, and deploying Robotics and Industrial IoT (IIoT) solutions across production environments.
This role is particularly suited to candidates with experience in Oil & Gas or similar industrial environments, where understanding operational context is critical. While technical skills can be developed, strong communication and the ability to work effectively across teams are essential for success.
This role is open to Azerbaijani citizenship applications only.
What you will deliver
- Research and evaluate Robotics and Industrial IoT solutions and vendors, including proof-of-concept testing and documentation
- Design end-to-end Robotics and IIoT solutions, including detailed implementation packages
- Implement secure architectures aligned with company network and digital security standards
- Integrate devices and systems with existing infrastructure, including networks and cloud platforms
- Ensure reliable connectivity using industrial protocols such as MQTT, Modbus, and OPC-UA
- Configure and deploy device software, ensuring functionality and alignment with user needs
- Optimize data flows from edge devices to cloud platforms for analytics and decision-making
- Lead or support deployment of robotics systems, sensors, gateways, and physical devices on-site
- Conduct lab testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure performance, reliability, and security
- Provide ongoing technical support following system deployment
- Maintain clear technical documentation and testing procedures
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance deployment processes and system performance
What you will need to be successful
- Bachelors degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience
- Proven experience in Oil & Gas or a similar industrial/production environment, with a strong understanding of operational contexts
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts and collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders
- Hands-on experience in production or industrial settings
- Background in condition-based monitoring solutions
- Familiarity with at least one programming language such as Python, C++, Bash, or Java for embedded systems or data logic
- Solid understanding of networking, cybersecurity principles, and Linux-based systems
- Experience with cloud-based IoT platforms (e.g., AWS IoT, IoT Greengrass) will be beneficial
- Self-driven, adaptable, and comfortable working in dynamic environments with a proactive mindset
