We are seeking a Vice President to join our Marketing team in BNY Investments in Tokyo, Japan.
Role overview:
The Japan Marketing team supports all marketing activities for BNY Investments Japan, focusing on both retail and institutional channels to enhance brand awareness and business growth. The Vice President will collaborate with local sales and global marketing teams to design and deliver product marketing strategies in line with business goals. Key responsibilities include crafting compelling product narratives, producing high-quality marketing materials, orchestrating promotional campaigns, and adapting global product positioning for the Japanese market.
The ideal candidate will support the Head of Japan Marketing in robust marketing strategies, creating engaging content to showcase investment expertise, and enhancing the brand's presence in Japan.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Develop and implement product marketing strategies, particularly for the retail channel to drive sales growth.
- Create compelling content and narratives to promote BNY Investments’ products.
- Lead the production of marketing materials, including but not limited to sales brochures, ad-hoc reports, market/product presentations, investment education and seminar content.
- Tailor global product positioning to best resonate with Japanese clients' needs.
- Build strong relationships with client-facing teams and investment firms to gather insights and articulate product message into marketable concepts, especially at product launches.
- Plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns across above-the-line/below-the-line, both online and offline media.
- Adapt and develop thought leadership content to position the firm as a market leader in Japan.
- Manage and enhance the BNY Investments Japan website, implement digital marketing strategies and contents to increase web traffic.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- 5–10 years of asset management experience, with a proven record in product marketing.
- Strong understanding of financial markets, asset management, and investment products.
- Excellent project management, strategic thinking, and attention to detail under tight deadlines.
- Native in Japanese with outstanding writing and presentation skills.
- Professional English proficiency.
- Skilled in building relationships and communicating across organizational levels.
- Self-motivated, driven, and committed to professional growth.
- Proficiency in Bloomberg and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
