Full Job Description

Main Purpose

To provide efficient Trade Finance and Treasury solutions in support of our international oil trading activities.

The role requires active engagement with a range of internal and external stakeholders including banking partners and commercial traders and carries responsibility for building strong working relationships that deliver optimal, cost-effective, and innovative financing solutions for TFG Marine on an ongoing basis.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • 2+ years of experience within a trading company or financial institution, with a solid foundational understanding of Treasury and/or Trade Finance instruments and their associated risks

  • Well-organized and proactive, with excellent communication and coordination skills; able to demonstrate strong problem-solving ability and highly logical, critical thinking

  • Meticulous attention to detail and a diligent working style

  • Able to take initiative, work independently, and manage effectively in a fast-paced environment with frequently shifting deadlines

  • A collaborative team player who can confidently adapt their interpersonal approach to the situation at hand, building strong relationships both cross-functionally and with external stakeholders

  • Comfortable working and thriving under pressure

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel

  • Excellent written and spoken English

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and approve cargo loadings and discharges, ensuring all contractual obligations are fulfilled while mitigating risk and financial exposure

  • Maintain strict adherence to internal credit guidelines

  • Arrange risk coverage for sales positions through banks and/or insurance providers as required

  • Review contracts for all transactions in line with company policies and procedures

  • Manage stock releases, monitor exposure, and conduct weekly mark-to-market valuations of storage positions

  • Collaborate closely with external stakeholders (banks and counterparties) and internal teams (Operations, Due Diligence, Treasury, Settlements, and Accounting) to ensure financial and risk requirements remain consistently aligned

  • Receive, record, and distribute shipping documentation in a timely and accurate manner

  • Ensure prompt processing of cargo payments and actively manage cash positions in coordination with banks and internal Treasury

  • Maintain regular liaison with teams across global offices, including Singapore, Geneva, Athens, Madrid, and Mumbai
