The Team: The Equity Data value stream at S&P Dow Jones Indices is crucial for maintaining data integrity and supporting the companys product offerings . This team ensures the accuracy, consistency, and ethical use of data across SPDJI data assets and AI solutions, playing a pivotal role in data governance and quality management.

Responsibilities and Impact:
Execute and operationalize data and AI governance frameworks, policies, and standards, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and completeness for critical financial products.
Design and execute robust data quality monitoring programs, conducting root cause analysis and collaborating with data owners to implement corrective actions and drive measurable improvements in data integrity.
Support AI risk assessments by evaluating potential biases and unintended consequences, maintaining AI model inventory, and collaborating with AI Solutions Experts to ensure responsible AI practices.
Participate in project intake and review processes, providing guidance on governance requirements and identifying risks to ensure compliance and support successful project outcomes.
Serve as a governance resource and advisor to value stream SMEs, fostering a culture of governance by developing training materials, facilitating awareness sessions, and building strong relationships with stakeholders.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation in governance processes, staying current on emerging technologies and contributing ideas to enhance frameworks and operational practices.
All employees are required to work from the office a minimum of 2 days per week.

What Were Looking For:
Basic Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Data Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
An S&P Global employee at this level would typically have 5+ years of experience in data governance, data quality management, compliance, or related financial services roles, with 2+ years working with data management frameworks.
Strong understanding of data governance frameworks (DAMA-DMBOK, DCAM, or similar), data quality assessment methodologies, and AI/ML concepts including responsible AI principles.
Ability to write SQL queries and perform basic data analysis, coupled with excellent documentation skills to create clear policies and technical specifications.
We require all external candidates who reach the final stage of our interview process to attend at least one in-person interview, which is ordinarily at your nearest S&P Global office. This must be completed before we can proceed to an offer.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:
Professional certifications in data governance, data management, or privacy (CDMP, DGSP, CIPP, or similar).
Demonstrated ability to contribute to team initiatives, resolve varied and non-routine issues, and provide guidance and clarification to support quality work output.
Strong Emotional Intelligence, actively listening to understand diverse perspectives, and prioritizing tasks based on their importance and urgency to achieve team goals.
Proactive in using previous experience to identify appropriate courses of action or improve existing approaches, and capable of interpreting technical information to aid understanding within the team.
