We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Assistant Data Governance Manager.

In this role you will:

  • Support implementation of Group Data Governance and Data Management standards, ensuring alignment to global policies, minimum control requirements and local regulatory expectations
  • Partner with business and function data leads to embed approved global data policies, processes and the data quality frameworkmaking data quality by design part of day-to-day delivery across GB/GF
  • Strengthen data risk and control oversight by developing dashboards, MI and automated monitoring to identify control gaps, emerging risks and remediation progress
  • Drive continuous improvement by reducing duplication, standardising processes and leveraging common tooling and reusable control patterns across the Cluster
  • Operationalise and embed successful initiatives by working across functions to scale solutions into BAU, with clear ownership, governance and measurable outcomes
  • Build strong working relationships with Market and AME Chief Data & Analytics Office teams to share best practice, align delivery and accelerate outcomes
  • Contribute to delivery of the Data Strategy, including ad hoc projects across the Risk Reduction, Business Initiatives & Organization and Culture with a focus on sustainable controls and measurable risk reduction

To be successful you will need:

  • Bachelors degree or relevant professional qualification
  • Prior experience in data governance, data management, risk & controls, or related disciplines
  • Knowledge of financial services data-related regulations in one or more jurisdictions is an advantage
  • Experience in two or more of the following:
    • Implementing risk management frameworks / internal controls
    • Testing, assurance and/or audit activities
    • Project management (delivery, governance, RAID, stakeholder management)
    • Business analytics / MI development
  • Familiarity with data and analytics tools (e.g., Qlik Sense) is advantageous
