Credit Analyst 

About the Role

We are seeking a Credit Analyst to join our Industry & Corporate Analysis Shipping team.

In this role, you will be part of an experienced group responsible for assessing credit risk and supporting decisionmaking across the banks lending activities related to shipping.

This is an excellent opportunity for anyone with strong analytical capabilities, commercial acumen, and an interest in one of the worlds most dynamic and global industries.

We welcome applications from highly motivated and talented candidates whose skills and experience may not perfectly match the list but are still relevant to the role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform indepth financial analysis of companies operating across shipping segments.
  • Prepare highquality credit papers, risk assessments, rating proposals, and recommendations for credit committees.
  • Stay updated on macro trends, freight markets, asset values, regulatory changes, and geopolitical developments impacting the maritime sector.

What Were Looking For

  • Relevant education - MSc in finance, economics, engineering, or similar.
  • 25 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong financial modelling and analytical skills.
  • Clear, concise communicator with strong ownership and attention to detail, able to work independently with integrity under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Extra advantageous but not a requirement is familiarity with shipping markets.
  • Fluent in one Scandinavian language and English is a requirement
