Student Intern (Contractor) - Private Equity Investment Management
Who were looking for
We are looking for Student Trainees in our Private Equity Investment team in Singapore. We aim to onboard you for the period of June December 2026.
As part of Schroders Capital, you will assist the Asia private equity / venture capital team members in the origination, evaluation, structuring and execution of Asian private equity investments and co-investment transactions in the regions of India, Southeast Asia and developed Asia. There will also be collaboration with the global Private Equity team and the broader Asia team.

The team
Since forming in 1997, Schroders Capitals private equity business has successfully expanded into all areas of private equity global Venture Capital, European and US buyouts, Asia Growth, with investment teams on the ground in Zurich, London, New York, Singapore, Shanghai, Beijing and Seoul. The team comprises 70+ investment and risk management professionals and currently has AuM of over USD 20bn. You will be seated with the Singapore Private Equity team comprising 4 people.
What you'll do
You will have significant responsibilities from day one and become an integral part of the team, with high levels of interaction with investment professionals, in-house legal and finance, and executive managers of the invested funds and companies. Key responsibilities for will include:
- Supporting the investment team in preparing prequalification and investment recommendation documents for the investment committee
- Supporting the investment team in preparing quarterly reports as well as customized client reporting documentation;
- Assisting in deal-flow capturing and support with product management requests
The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need
- Enrolled student at a university
- Excellent academic background
- One previous internship/previous experience in one of the following areas is beneficial: M&A, Project Finance, Private Equity or Consulting
- Fluency in English
- Strong analytical and writing skills
