Who were looking for

We are seeking a senior communications professional with a global outlook and deep regional and local asset management communications experience in Asia to lead our communications function across Asia. 

In this newly-created role based in Singapore, you will set and deliver Schroders external and internal communications strategy across Asia, working with the local communications team, the wider agency network and foster close collaboration with the Central Comms to ensure that activity is aligned with the wider Group. Your remit will cover activities in our core markets of Hong Kong, Southeast Asia, Japan, Taiwan and mainland China, and to a lesser extent, South Korea, positioning our brand and products with key audiences and stakeholders.

You will work as part of our global Corporate Communications team, collaborating closely with colleagues around the world and local leadership across Asia, in particular with the Head of Client Group, Asia.  Your work will also be directed by the Regional Head of Marketing for Asia, delivering PR campaigns to support achieving our sales targets and building our brand in the region.

What youll do

Lead and deliver communications strategy: Own the design and execution of external and internal communications strategies in line with the global strategy and regional priorities. Ensure that Schroders is focused on the most appropriate media channels, outlets and platforms to achieve our goals.  Support the business with transformation projects and related communications. Define success metrics and regularly report on communications performance, using data to refine approaches and demonstrate value. Where necessary, provide communications support to Schroders Wealth in Asia, ensuring alignment with regional and global messaging.

Communications Team management: You will work closely with two members of the Communications team who will support you. One is based in Singapore, one in Hong Kong, both of whom report to the Head of Communications, Asia 

Stakeholder engagement: Build trusted relationships with senior leaders and business teams across the region, providing expert counsel on reputation management, media relations, crisis response and executive communications.

Media and agency management: Strengthen our media presence, our brand positioning, and reputation through external announcements and engagements with media channels, including executive profiling and thought leadership. Develop compelling narratives and oversee all PR agency relationships in the region. Build relations with key journalists in the region.

Internal communications: Oversee internal messaging and elevate employee engagement, managing a junior colleague focused on internal comms. Partner closely with People & Culture to ensure integrated and aligned communication and colleague engagement efforts.

Cross-border collaboration: Work seamlessly with global and regional stakeholders, supporting consistency while tailoring local impact.

Champion innovation: Lead adoption of digital and AI-driven tools to enhance the quality, reach and impact of communications activity.
