Overview of Role/Principle Responsibilities:

This role oversees end-to-end fund operations across APAC and AU, ensuring strong performance and control adherence from third party vendors, managing daily NAV oversight and issue resolution, supporting regulatory and tax reporting obligations (including FATCA, CRS, SOC, BAS), coordinating financial audits and TA oversight. It is also responsible for maintaining operational readiness for new fund and share class launches, keeping procedures and control documents up to date, working closely with Fund Reporting, and other internal teams to ensure seamless client servicing. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure high performance standards of third party suppliers through vendor oversight.
  • Pre-empt and triage issues, making sure controls are adhered to, and exceptions are escalated timely.
  • Ensure follow through of remediation actions points. 
  • NAV oversight across APAC and AU funds, ensuring daily NAVs are disseminated on a timely basis.
  • Raise and rectify NAV related issues with service providers.
  • Review management fee reports and other accruals.
  • Possess regulatory reporting knowledge (eg. FATCA, CRS, SFC reporting).
  • Assist with tax reporting requirements (eg. SOC, BAS).
  • Extend operational assistance new Fund launches/Share class launches.
  • Participate in establishing best practice processes across the APAC and AU region.
  • Coordination and assistance for semi-annual and annual financial audits.
  • Liaise and assist in the management of stakeholders across various functional teams.
  • Facilitate in updating departments procedure manuals and control documents.
  • Increase team efficiency through process enhancement initiatives.
  • May be required to work during SG public holidays and AU hours for AU portfolio coverage 
  • Any other ad hoc or administrative duties.

Skills and Behaviours Required:

  • Has sufficient technical skills and can perform assigned tasks and processes independently.
  • Knowledge of how funds work and unit trust structure.
  • Experienced in AU fund structures nuances, tax and other regulations preferred.
  • Working knowledge end-to-end process from transfer agency to fund administration to fund reporting.
  • Good with Microsoft applications, including Excel to an intermediate level.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to prioritise and manage activities for the benefit of the business.
  • Be a good team player and be willing to assist team members when necessary.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Able to multitask and work under time pressure.
