Full Job Description

The Fund & Investment Operations Analyst within Vanguard Personalized Indexing (VPI) is tasked with the administration and maintenance of Separately Managed Accounts. This includes account openings and closings, account maintenance, transaction processing, and other operational tasks needed to support VPI's portfolio management of client accounts.

Responsibilities:

Manage the new account setup and operational maintenance of Vanguard's direct indexing business. Accountable for the following:

  • Timely and accurate setup of new Separately Managed Accounts (SMAs). Includes validation of data completion along Vanguards acceptance of portfolio instruction

  • Review of data inputs (client info, investment directive, holdings) across various platforms and software

  • Management of other operational risk-exception reports and tasks, used to support VPI's management of client portfolios

  • Effective communication and updates across both internal and external stakeholders

  • Support work and data input from other members of the department, including coverage and data quality validation

  • Support process improvements efforts. Identify areas of inefficiency or risk, verbalize recommendations, collaborate with team-members, execute on

  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Accounting or Finance degree preferred

  • Two years related work experience

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring risk is mitigated across a high-volume data inputs

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced administrative environment

  • Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication across internal and external stakeholders

  • Excel vlookup, pivot table, and macros

  • Python knowledge a plus
