What is the opportunity?

As an GenAI Engineer Internal Audit Services, you will be a part of building consistent, relevant, and impactful data products, reporting solutions as well as visualizations for Internal Audit (IA). In collaboration with cross-functional teams, you will be involved in a variety of challenging assignments as well as networking opportunities.

RBC Internal Audit leverages a unique perspective with a coordinated view across the entire business to deliver valuable advice that not only gives assurance, but that illuminates a bigger picture, connects dots, builds best practices and broadens possibilities.

What will you do?

  • Collaborate with data scientists, product managers, data engineers and auditors to design, develop and deploy data solutions within the IA Ecosystem

  • Gather details from business and stakeholders in order to determine project scope

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Currently enrolled in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related degree program.

  • Strong understanding of Python and JavaScript

  • Knowledge of how Large Language Models work

  • Available for 12 month Co-op commitment

Nice-to-have

  • Enthusiasm, passion and drive to investigate and understand trends and new technologies

  • Knowledge of JavaScript frontend frameworks, such as React, Angular, or Vue (preferred)

  • Experience with Python LLM frameworks, such as LangChain, LangGraph, or LlamaIndex

  • General understanding of web development concepts, including HTTP requests, server vs client, authentication, etc.

  • Experience with version control such as GitHub

Please note

In order to be eligible for these student positions, you must either: 

  • Be returning back to school after the work term end-date; or 

  • If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating immediately after the work term), you must require the full work term as a mandatory component in order to graduate successfully
