Your future role within QRT:

As a Windows Server Analyst you will be part of the Global Infrastructure Team, responsible for designing, building, and supporting Microsoft Windows Server infrastructure. Your role is critical in ensuring the smooth operation of core IT services that underpin research technology, trading platforms, market execution, and data processing.

  • Deploy, manage, and monitor a globally distributed, multi-forest Windows Server environment spanning versions 2016 to 2025.
  • Configure and maintain monitoring, observability, and dashboarding tools to track server and application performance.
  • Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, and Entra ID integration to enforce security and access policies.
  • Automate server management using PowerShell, Ansible, and Terraform for provisioning, configuration, and maintenance.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement new technologies to enhance reliability, scalability, and security.
  • Provide 2nd line support and 3rd line escalation for Windows Server-related issues.
  • Optimise and troubleshoot server backups to ensure data integrity and disaster recovery readiness.
  • Utilise SIEM tools to monitor and manage server security and performance.
  • Work with storage technologies (SAN/NAS) to ensure efficient integration and high availability.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, architecture designs, and support materials.
  • Support and optimise Citrix DaaS, Azure, Microsoft 365, and Intune environments.
  • Provide cross-functional troubleshooting support when required.
  • Stay informed about market trends and emerging technologies to identify strategic opportunities for improvement.

Your present skillset:

  • Extensive experience deploying and managing Windows Server environments, including large-scale migrations.
  • Strong Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS expertise for design and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation, OS builds, and infrastructure optimization.
  • Experience with Windows Update processes, patch management, and security best practices in enterprise environments.
  • Hands-on experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible.
  • Experience managing AWS EC2 and Azure Compute instances. Broad understanding of client OS troubleshooting (Windows 10/11).
  • Cloud infrastructure experience with Azure, Entra ID, Microsoft 365, and Intune.
  • Experience supporting and managing Citrix DaaS / VDI solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of network technologies, certificate services, and management.
  • Experience with performance tuning and monitoring for Windows desktops and virtual machines.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently, manage workloads, and contribute to projects.

Occasional weekend shifts and out-of-hours coverage may be required to ensure continuous support.
