Join our global Commodities Operations team as a Physical Commodities Operations Associate in London, supporting physical trading activity across multiple regions.

Your future role within QRT includes:

  • Providing day-to-day operational support to physical commodities trading desks across London, Houston, Denmark, and Australia
  • Supporting physical trading activity across power, gas, emissions, battery metals, and other products as the business continues to expand
  • Managing operational processes across the full physical trade lifecycle, from execution through to settlement
  • Supporting transport, storage, and delivery aspects of physical power and gas trading
  • Performing daily reconciliations of positions, cash, and transactions, investigating and resolving breaks in a timely manner
  • Working closely with traders on business-as-usual activity, new product launches, and changes to operational coverage
  • Supporting exchange migrations and changes where applicable
  • Acting as a key point of contact between the trading desks, fund administrators, exchanges, brokers, and internal teams
  • Contributing to process improvement and automation initiatives, with scope to influence how workflows evolve

Your present skillset: 

  • 3 + years’ experience in physical commodities operations or scheduling within energy or commodities markets
  • Working knowledge of physical power and gas, emissions, and battery metals markets, including transport and storage
  • Experience partnering closely with trading desks and owning operational processes
  • Proactive mindset with an interest in process improvement and automation
  • Proactive mindset, with an interest in improving processes and contributing to automation initiatives
