We are seeking experienced Data Centre Operations Engineers to join our expanding team and support the build, operation, and development of QRT’s global data centre and colocation estate. With the business continuing to grow at pace, this role is key to ensuring the stability, security, and performance of the infrastructure that supports our trading and research activities worldwide. You will work closely with colleagues across global teams to align physical infrastructure with operational objectives, uphold QRT’s standards, and contribute to ongoing improvements in resilience, automation, and monitoring.

Your future within QRT:

  • Oversee the physical build and maintenance of QRT’s data centres and global co-location sites
  • Ensure all implementations follow QRT’s operational, security and cabling standards
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors to manage on-site installations, upgrades and expansions
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date infrastructure documentation, including designs, rack layouts and patching details
  • Participate in new project rollouts, including global trading infrastructure deployments
  • Work closely with global teams to align physical infrastructure with platform performance and operational goals
  • Configure, automate and troubleshoot data centre infrastructure using scripting (Python, Bash, Ansible) and configuration management tools
  • Design and maintain observability solutions, including Grafana dashboards, to provide real-time visibility and actionable insights into system, power and environmental health
  • Develop automation workflows for monitoring, alerting and remediation to improve reliability and reduce operational overhead
  • Install devices and cabling, and troubleshoot hardware and basic network issues, performing break–fix tasks and maintaining a detailed understanding of system components

Your present skillset:

  • Knowledge of data centre environments, financial exchange co-location ecosystems and research environments
  • Experience working with third-party vendors to deliver successful on-site changes and deployments
  • High standards of physical build quality and attention to detail in infrastructure layouts
  • Strong documentation and organisational skills, with a focus on maintainability and operational readiness
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, globally distributed team environment
  • Ability to travel, including internationally, as required
  • Ability to participate in an after hours on call rotation
