JOB DESCRIPTION

The Insurance Corporate Finance team advises clients across the insurance value chain. This includes work with balance-sheet carriers on corporate finance transactions such as M&A, divestments, capital raisings (including sidecars and other risk-capital vehicles), and supporting alternative asset managers entering the insurance market.

In parallel, the team has a strong focus on insurance distribution, services and InsurTech, advising private business owners and private equity investors on buy-side and sell-side M&A. The team is active across both the UK and European markets and is deeply embedded in the evolving strategic, regulatory and capital themes shaping the sector.

The Insurance Corporate Finance team is part of our wider Financial Services Lead Advisory team, which brings together deep sector expertise across two specialist groups (Private Credit Solutions and Insurance).

About The Role:

This role offers the opportunity to gain exposure to a range of insurance-related transactions. We offer a strong platform for someone to learn and develop through real transactional experience as part of an experienced and ambitious team.

You will be working with a highly motivated team of specialist corporate financiers, supporting clients from deal origination through to execution. You will also work cross-LoS with colleagues across Debt Capital Advisory, Valuations, Restructuring and other parts of the firm, bringing the best of PwC to our clients on complex financial services transactions.

As a Senior Associate, you’ll play a key role in the execution of buy-side and sell-side mandates across the financial services sector. You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day management of workstreams, including preparing information memoranda, management presentations, valuation analyses, and taking ownership of key materials and client communications.

What your Days Will Look Like

  • Day-to-day project management of transactions, acting as a key contact for clients, potential investors and other stakeholders.

  • Financial modelling and analysis

  • Preparation of high-quality client deliverables, including information memoranda, management presentations and valuation materials.

  • Participation in client meetings and presentations, supporting senior team members throughout the deal process.

  • Business development, including identifying potential opportunities and developing a strong personal network across the sector.

This Role is for you if:

  • Have excellent numeracy skills with strong attention to detail, and the ability to absorb, analyse and present data quickly.

  • Experience in M&A transactions, with exposure to deal execution and project management.

  • Ability to undertake detailed financial and commercial analysis for inclusion in client reports and presentations.

  • Strong written communication skills with demonstrable experience producing high-quality, tailored documents.

  • A clear interest in the financial services / insurance sectors.

  • Strong client focus, with the ability to work at pace and build effective working relationships.

  • Ability to work confidently with a range of clients, from entrepreneurs and privately owned businesses to private equity funds and corporates.

  • Logical and methodical approach to problem-solving.

  • Self-confidence and appetite to be involved in business development activities.

What you’ll receive from us:

No matter where you may be in your career or personal life, our benefits are designed to add value and support, recognising and rewarding you fairly for your contributions.

We offer a range of benefits including empowered flexibility and a working week split between office, home and client site; private medical cover and 24/7 access to a qualified virtual GP; six volunteering days a year and much more.
