About the role
The Real Assets Portfolio (RAP) team within the Deals team assists clients in managing and enhancing value post-transaction. With a strong network of dynamic investors, RAP collaborates with the Deals Tax team to advise on tax implications of various transactions. Operating nationally, the team is based in Birmingham but works flexibly across the UK, offering diverse expertise and unique career experiences. They seek ambitious corporate tax specialists to manage complex UK corporate tax relationships and develop specialist skills. What your days will look like:
Lead client relationships for a diverse portfolio, ensuring effective communication and identifying new work opportunities.
Manage large client teams, providing leverage to partners and coordinating input from specialists and the international network.
Contribute to RAP team leadership through recruitment strategies, skill development, and fostering a strong coaching culture.
Drive new business generation by identifying opportunities, converting leads, and developing client propositions with partner support.
Oversee financial management and profitability of client engagements, including budgeting, efficiency, and timely billing.
Stay updated on UK tax law changes and contribute to team training and technical development.
Support personal and team development through formal training sessions and day-to-day interactions.
This role is for you if:
Must possess a UK professional qualification (ACA/ACCA/ATT/CTA/legal qualification) or international equivalent.
Significant UK or international tax advisory experience.
A flexible approach to allow you to work as part of a number of client teams simultaneously.
Experience of developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and internally.
Strong analytical skills and a proven ability to solve complex problems in a collaborative and creative way.
Experience of project managing and delegating work within a team context.
