Job description
Nomura's Investment Banking Off-Cycle Internship in Madrid offers a 6-month opportunity for top-performing students to work as a full-time intern in the Financial Institutions Group (FIG) team. Interns will support senior bankers, participate in deal execution, and gain comprehensive exposure to investment banking work.
Primary responsibilities include supporting senior bankers in preparing discussion materials, conducting data analysis, building financial models (operating, capital, merger, and LBO models), and participating in ongoing deal execution within the Financial Institutions Group, such as M&A transactions and capital raising activities.
Required skills include a distinctive academic record (top 10% of peer group), solid analytical capabilities, strong data analysis skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience working in project-based environments with tight deadlines. Candidates should be highly motivated, dynamic self-starters with the ability to interact confidently with banking professionals.
Nomura offers an immersive internship experience with extensive professional development opportunities, including close collaboration with a buddy, regular interactions with a senior mentor, comprehensive training, seminars, and networking opportunities. Interns will gain deep insights into investment banking, work alongside experienced professionals, and potentially develop a pathway to a future career in the financial services industry.
