Description:

The Loan Solutions Group (“LSG”) is a team at Morgan Stanley that advises our financial institutions clients on optimizing the asset side of their balance sheet to meet key strategic objectives. The team delivers the full solutions toolkit – transactions span strategic whole loan portfolio sales, private or public securitizations, forward flow or joint venture structures and synthetic risk transfer transactions. LSG covers an array of asset classes including Consumer, Residential, Commercial Real Estate, Corporate, and Equipment Finance.

As part of Securitized Products Capital Markets (SPCM) within Morgan Stanley’s Global Capital Markets division, LSG works closely with other businesses to deliver a One Firm approach to clients. This is an opportunity to join a growing, entrepreneurial team where strategic thinking, strong quantitative skills, and effective project management are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead client engagements and drive idea generation
  • Manage day-to-day execution of complex transactions – coordinating with clients, investors, lawyers, accountants, and internal coverage teams
  • Partner with teams across Investment Banking, SPCM, and Fixed Income to source and execute transactions
  • Develop asset/liability cash flows models for complex structured finance transactions and formulate pricing views on loan portfolios
  • Design tailored client solutions supported by robust modeling and analytics, deliver compelling business development and client materials
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to a high-performance, collaborative culture

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years in capital markets, investment banking, or related fields. Experience in structured finance and/or FIG corporate finance is preferred
  • Advanced modeling and analytical capabilities
  • Ability to manage complex transaction processes and perform under pressure
  • Strong client-facing skills, excellent written and verbal communication, and ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Entrepreneurial, detail-oriented, and adaptable with a strong work ethic.
  • Series 7, 63, and 79 licensing (or willingness to obtain)

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $275,000 and $275,000 per year for VP, at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
