We're seeking someone to join our team as a Director in Ops Risk and Regulatory Control to drive implementation of the Firm's Global Data Quality Policy to the Division's most Critical Data, ensuring compliance to a high standard.

In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls and develop client relationships. This is a Team Specialist position at Director level within the within Risk, Regulatory & Resilience, which performs various independent functions to ensure adequate controls are in place. We do this by providing an integrated risk and control framework to govern, assess, mitigate and manage financial and operational risk in Operations.

What you'll do in the role:

  • Support and drive implementation of data projects (Data Policy Implementation / Sensitive Data / Data Lineage) through application of Policy principles and guidance.

  • Develop a strong understanding of the Data Policy standards and Sensitive Data requirements and use this to influence stakeholders.

  • Work closely with key Operations stakeholders across the Business to ensure compliance with data policies.

  • Build expertise in Collibra and cataloguing Data requirements, leverage this to provide valuable feedback to Firmwide Data Office on tooling enhancements, aligned to the interest and functional efficiency within the team.

  • Leverage relationships to drive the Data Issue Management strategy.

  • Maintain and develop regulatory and functional business knowledge to serve as a subject matter expert and central point of contact for Operations on Data Quality matters.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert within functional area, working with Team Manager to manage processes, risks and/or projects, proposing and implementing improvements/changes

  • Act as key problem solver for area or expertise, applying detailed knowledge to address unique or novel situations, recognize risks and draw out key issues

  • Coordinate work, train and develop other team members where required, including task allocation, and project contribution

What you'll bring to the role:

  • At least 7-10 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role

  • Understanding of Data Management and Lineage knowledge is advantageous

  • Understanding of financial products knowledge is needed, along with good communication skills, analysis skills and time management are essential.

  • Ability to lead by example, work with drive and determination, and put forward challenging views to senior levels

  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of functional area and operational/compliance policies and procedures of their team

  • Ability to operate independently across the majority of day-to-day responsibilities

  • Culture carrier across Operations, embracing the Firm's core values and acting as a role model.
