We're seeking someone to join our team as a Data Governance & Quality Director in Data Governance & AI Non-Financial Risk team to work as part of the Data Governance team with a focus on data governance and data quality management.

In the Legal & Compliance division, we assist the Firm in achieving its business objectives by facilitating and overseeing the Firm's management of legal, regulatory and franchise risk. This is a Director level position within the Data Quality team who focus on design and implementation of enterprise-wide Data Governance initiatives, ensuring the Firm complies with regulatory requirements and manages data-related risks in line with business objectives.

What you'll do in the role:

  • Develop and implement Data Governance policies, standards, and procedures

  • Work cross functionally to ensure adherence to governance frameworks, regulatory requirements, and controls

  • Oversee and support maintenance of the Firm Data Deliverables Inventory, as well as Data Quality controls such as data catalogs, data lineage, and data quality rules

  • Monitor and report on data risk metrics, driving remediation plans for risk issues and incidents

  • Support regional Data Governance committees

  • Conduct training for business and technology owners on Data Governance roles and responsibilities

  • Liaise between business and technology teams to ensure Data Governance related tooling requirements are defined and prioritized

What you'll bring the role:

  • Typically, 5+ years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role

  • 4+ years working experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Data Quality, or non-financial risk management (particularly in domains relating to Regulatory Reporting and Model Risk)

  • Proven ability to design, implement, and/or run Data Governance frameworks, as well as related control processes

  • Track record of working within large matrix organizations, across business and support function teams

  • Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
