Job ID 2026-20276 Main Purpose of the Job As the Data Governance Director at AXA Philippines, you will lead the strategic development and execution of our data governance framework, ensuring that AXAs data assets are accurate, secure, and compliant with industry regulations. You will play a critical role in fostering a data-driven culture, enabling better risk assessment, underwriting, claims management, and customer insights through high-quality data management practices. Key Accountabilities Strategic Data Governance Leadership: Establish and promote AXAs data governance policies, standards, and best practices aligned with insurance industry regulations and AXAs strategic objectives. Define clear roles and responsibilities for data ownership, stewardship, and accountability across all business units. Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure adherence to all relevant data privacy regulations (e.g., DPA, GDPR, EU AI Act, local data protection laws) and industry standards. Collaborate with legal, compliance, and risk teams to embed data governance in AXAs risk management framework. Data Quality & Integrity: Implement processes for ongoing data quality measurement, monitoring, and improvement, particularly for underwriting, claims processing, and customer data. Promote consistency in data definitions, classifications, and metadata across all insurance products and services. Data Privacy & Security: Oversee data privacy protocols and ensure sensitive customer and policyholder data is protected. Lead initiatives to minimize data-related risks and support AXAs commitment to data security. Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration: Work closely with business leaders, actuaries, underwriters, IT, and data teams to align data governance initiatives with business needs. Foster a data literacy culture, emphasizing the importance of data quality and compliance. Data Architecture & Metadata Management: Oversee the development and maintenance of data catalogs, lineage, and metadata repositories. Drive standardization of data models and definitions to support analytics, actuarial modeling, and regulatory reporting.
