Trading Analyst – Fixed Term Contract

A successful trading team is looking for a Operations/Execution analyst to join their team on an initial contract basis.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily trade execution across relevant asset classes, ensuring accurate and timely booking in internal systems.
  • Monitor intraday positions, P&L, and key risk metrics, promptly flagging discrepancies or unusual activity to senior traders.
  • Support traders with market, product, and trade analysis, using data and programming tools to inform decisions.
  • Prepare and maintain daily reports on trading activity, market moves, and key news/events relevant to the portfolio.
  • Contribute to improving trading processes, tools, and controls to increase efficiency and reduce operational risk.

Background

  • Degree in: finance, economics, maths, physics, engineering, computer science, or a related field
  • Strong interest in business and markets and economics
  • Prior internship/grad scheme experience beneficial
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in mathematics
  • Proficiency in software programming
  • Familiarity with financial markets, derivatives, and options (a plus but not required)
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
